Within the community itself, locals enjoy immediate access to great amenities such as Lake Salisbury, Wishing Well Park, and many country clubs and golf courses.

Conveniently situated in the heart of the Robious Road Corridor, Salisbury has grown greatly to account for over 1,500 homes since the very first abodes were constructed in the 1950s. Today, Salisbury enjoys a plethora of modern luxuries, proximity to shopping plazas, exquisite dining, and lush, green spaces which have been and will remain thoroughly protected well into the 21st-century.

What to Love

  • A tranquil, country club lifestyle
  • A well-established and prideful community
  • A highly involved community with a wide array of local events throughout the year

Local Lifestyle

Salisbury is one of Richmond's more popular suburbs, and for good reason. Its reputation precedes itself thanks to its plethora of great amenities, close-knit web of highly involved neighbors, and the pride these locals have for the place they call home. Salisbury hosts joyous events throughout the year, highly anticipated by residents of all ages. Locals are more than happy to get involved in these events and give back to the community every chance they can, just like Annemarie Hensley herself, who is a proud sponsor of Wishing Well Park and volunteers with her team to clean up the space every month.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

This friendly community is fraught with cozy gathering places to break bread with neighbors and make memories. Beyond the dinner table, several nationally recognized store brands are found just minutes down the road, undoubtedly adding to the convenience of a life lived in Salisbury.

One of Salisbury‘s most attractive aspects is its uber-central location. Being so close to the center of Midlothian, it is a stone's throw from anything one could ever want or need. Movie theaters, large name-brand shops, locally owned eateries, salons, spas, fitness studios, other businesses, and more can all be found along the Midlothian Turnpike.

A recent addition to the Midlothian entertainment scene, Triple Crossing Brewery has opened up a new location within the heart of Midlothian to follow their very successful first venture. An extensive draft beer list of their own creation changes with the seasons, while their food menu takes pub dining to the next level with Angus beef burgers, elevated pizzas, and local Virginia oysters.

Nearby at the Salisbury Country Club, guests of this member-owned establishment enjoy access to two on-site dining options. The Mixed Grill offers a quintessential club-style dining experience where patrons can feast on succulent steaks, seasonal specialties, and delicious desserts. The Taproom is a great place to unwind after a round of golf, or to enjoy a smart cocktail before heading out for a night on the town. The Taproom is also a popular place to spend game day with flat-screen televisions available to ensure you never miss any angle of the big game.

Things To Do

Situated at the intersection of Winterfield and Salisbury Roads, Wishing Well Park is one of the area's most popular green spaces, personally sponsored by Annemarie Hensley herself. Since 2006, this park has been a favorite for residents of all ages to play, relax, or exercise in the great outdoors. Mid-Lothian Mines Park is another great option to enjoy an expansive protected space. First a largely industrial area, this 44-acre plot is now a historic preservation space for guests to observe native wildlife and enjoy a touch of history alongside Salisbury’s natural beauty. Aquatic adventures are found at Lake Salisbury, where lazy afternoons are spent lounging on the beach, boating, taking advantage of the picnic facilities, and enjoying swimming in depths up to 15 feet deep.

Schools

This well-established community also boasts prestigious educational campuses, such as:

  • Midlothian High School, grades 9-12; MHS was scored a 93/100 by U.S. News & World Report for their high advanced placement participation rate, scores on state standardized exams, and practically perfect graduation rate
